Palm trees belong to the family called Palmae, also known as Arecaseae. Palm trees are evergreen. They are usually tropical plants, but some can be grown in cold areas (they are known as hardy palms).

Pindo Palm

The Pindo palm fruits is used to make a sweet jelly, hence the name Jelly Palm.
